Creative Cloud Desktop wont install

Hello, Im trying to install CC on my Mac and after I double click the 'Creative Cloud Installer' it gives me a prompt to enter my password, after I enter it, nothing else happens. How can I fix this?

Restart the computer once and then try to install the Adobe Creative Cloud app again.

Step 1)

Navigate to Applications > Utilities.

Under Utilities folder , if preset trash Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Application Manager folders.

Step 2)

Click on the below link and download and install Adobe Application Manager.

http://download.adobe.com/pub/adobe/creativesuite/cc/mac/ApplicationManager8.0_all.dmg

Once the installation is completed , the install box will disappear, '

Then open Applications folder and locate Adobe Application Manager shortcut launch icon and double click on it.

It will start update process and gets update to Creative Cloud desktop app.

Okay, I trashed the files and installed it again, but when I navigated to the applications and clicked on it, it acted like it was opening but then nothing else happened

Follow below steps :

Step 1 :

1) Right click on Finder icon and  select "Go-To" Folder option.
2) You will get a text box, type-in below command and then hit 'Return' key.( Do not miss ~ symbol)

3)Then navigate to Application Support>Adobe

.

Right click on Adobe folder and select "GetInfo" option.

Expand the Sharing & Permissions section.

Click the lock icon in the lower-right corner. Enter your administrator user name and password when prompted, and then click OK.

Please click on '+' symbol , it will open list of user accounts. Add Currently logged in user name and Administrator option,

Then provide "Read & Write" permission to Currently logged in user name and Administrator option,.

Click the Gear icon, and select Apply to Enclosed Item. Close the Get Info dialog box.

Step 2:

I'm having the same issue, just paid for the photography package, downloaded the CCInstaller, when it opens it asks for my password, I put in the correct password and it just shakes and disappears, then nothing....

Well in this case , you may try 2 things, Repair Disk permissions from Disk Utility once.

Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility.

Or Enable Built in Root User account and log in to same and try to install Adobe Creative Cloud app and check.

Step for enabling Root user account :


OS X Mavericks: Enable and disable the root user

(Applies for Yosemite/ El Capitan as well)

How to log in as root

  1. If you are logged in, choose Log Out from the Apple menu.
  2. If you are logging in from a list of usernames with pictures, click Other.
  3. In the Name field, type: root
  4. In the Password field, type the password you defined when setting up the root user account.

Once you logged in to Root Account try to install Creative Cloud app and check.
